As usual, I’m lagging behind, reluctant to move on, drawn to nostalgia with the strength of gravity. It’s already the 3rd of Jan, my dad is another year older, and my heart is still in the last week of 2013, preferably in the cosy apartment in Chaoyang District, Beijing, China.

2013 has been…condensed with changes, battles, new beginnings and fallings. It has been a tiring year, and although the large part of it was spent in oscillating detachment and determination, both equal in willpower, there is a most significant change. A most subtle and powerful one. I am glad to be returning to my roots, in honesty and pride. And I hope to continue in 2014.

“unless it comes out of
your soul like a rocket,
unless being still would
drive you to madness or
suicide or murder,
don’t do it.
unless the sun inside you is
burning your gut,
don’t do it.

when it is truly time,
and if you have been chosen,
it will do it by
itself and it will keep on doing it
until you die or it dies in you.

there is no other way.

and there never was.”
(Charles Bukowski)
